Our offer

GEMINO provides several HW solutions already available in the company’s portfolio that can be customized to better fit to customer needs. A flexible HW design that allows the customer to buy always and only what really needed.

PCB design and prototypes supply

We design PCB and devices that can be:

  • Projects derived from our products, through enrichment or reduction of components:
    • With PCB adapted to the customer’s housing
    • With PCB that fits our moulds
  • New projects based on customer specifications

Complete device design

We make complete devices that can be:

  • Supplied in volumes, with boxes and accessories
  • Certificates under GEMINO brand or client brand
  • Our devices supplied with customer brand

The design may include the HW extended with SW/ FW, here including the supply of the Bootloader, Secureboot, SW factory and End of Line tests, also designed on client’s production lines.

Main features:

  • SBO-2000 HW and housing;

  • Manufacturing including QA and pre-charging of unique certificates for each device;
  • Delivery in boxes with accessories;

Smart Box based on our device SBO-1000

Main features:

  • PCB redesigned to fit the customer’s housing;
  • Depopulation of not needed SBO-1000 interfaces (cost reduction);
  • AGSuite Edge application SW;
  • CE pre-certification by GEMINO;
  • CE and FCC certifications done by the client;

Access Gateway VDSL developed on REALTEK processor

Main features:

  • 4x GE LAN ports + 1x GE WAN port; VDSL interface;

  • WiFi dual concurrent 11ac + 11n;

Technologies we worked on

Processors and microcontrollers

Processors:

  • NXP iMX family (iMX8, iMX6) e Layerscape (LS1012, LS1024);
  • LANTIQ/INTEL, Realtek;

Microcontrollers:

We worked on several microcontrollers including NXP, ST and Microchip with experience of development / integration / customization of low-cost systems (eg: Espressif).

Peripheral

  • Ethernet from several providers including Qualcomm, Realtek, Broadcom and other Far-East manufacturers, both integrating phy and switch;
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax both through modules integration and direct WiFi chips mounting on PCB;
  • USB either directly exposed by microprocessor or through HUB;
  • 3G/4G with integration of GSM modules and/or dongles from various manufacturers;
  • Zigbee with different NXP chip series;
  • Bluetooth, mainly through the integration of WiFi modules;
  • Serial interface and digital/analog IOs, also in opto-isolated architectures;
  • RAM DDR e LPDDR;
  • Flash NAND, NOR e eMMC also in mixed architectures;
  • SD card SD / SDHC e SDXC;

Through our laboratory we provide all the necessary activities to turn-on the devices (tuning of delays on high-speed interfaces, microprocessor set-up, early boot, etc) and perform functional tests (long term stability, performances, throughput, etc) in order to always provide reliable HW devices.
